Happy Zappadan Day 13

We have more interviews today, I’m not sure how well known these ones are. I think that they are newly republished, and they are kinda fascinating.

I knew that Dick Cavett had a talk show, but I never saw it. He’s a sort of a mostly lost treasure, too, smart and funny (he was friends with Groucho, remains friends with Woody, and was one of Johnny Carson’s writers and a talent scout for The Tonight Show), but mostly smart.

Another great post, and a peek into Frank’s mind. I’m old enough to remember Dick Cavett, soft spoken guy but a class act. The story of him playing Aynsley Dunbar’s drum kit(and not remembering)as Franks first meeting with him was priceless.

Just saw where Don Van Vleit, Captain Beefheart, has passed..
    Sadness.
Here, in honor of President Carebear, is “Muffin Man”, the Cap and Zappa..
