Newticles wins!
Newticles, the ultimate DC-insider won the vast majority of self-declared outsider Tea Party vote, as he stormed to a decisive 10pt-plus victory over Willard last night in South Carolina.
And in typical GOP fashion, the exit polls showed that the voters were not so much concerned about electability (as the pundits were sure was what was on people’s minds), but because they believed that Newticles would smack the black guy. The quotes I read this morning were all laced with violence, and many were peppered with racism. Anyway, Newticles is their man.

The other interesting factoid is that Newticles won the evangelical vote (not theocrat family-values hypocrite Frothy Santorum), even with the baggage of being a staff-banging serial adulterer, and having the ever-present home-wrecker Callista at his side.

I laughed until I cried — and while I cried — as I heard one corporate media clown after another discussing whether or not the Occupy Movement could resist being co-opted by the Donkeycrats the same way the Tea Party was co-opted by the GOP.
I wanted to line up every goddamn’ media pundit on the air and Stooge-slap ‘em silly for not bothering to point out that the Tea Party is the goddamn’ GOP.

Um, not all of us, Mike. Since the first appearance of the Teabaggers, I’ve been saying that they are the New Coke of the GOP, Fox created them because they couldn’t push the old brand because Chimpy screwed the pooch, they had to have something new to rally around.

Stating my view of the GOP-TeaBagger behemoth will be a bit more prolix.
I’ve seen the Tea Partiers more as mavericks, natural GOP prey, but with an odd kick in their gallop — say virulent vocal racism, virulent vocal sexism, virulent vocal homophobia, virulent vocal second amendmentitis, virulent vocal anti-governmentalism (even when the GOP was in power), secessionists, nut jobs and wackos — all of which made them too wild and unmanageable to bring into the GOP’s Big Tent even on dark, moonless nights.
Not wanting to waste votes, the GOP thought they could be rounded up, branded, and corralled as a separate entity from Republican, but nonetheless controlled by, and available to vote for, the GOP.
Even the best-laid plans of mice and Koch brothers aft gang a-clusterfuck!
So, when it came time to anoint their latest Chosen One, who would lead the party back from the wilderness and save the world for Plutocracy, these mavericks did what mavericks have always done, they revolted, following their bizarre, crackpot ideas in search of a candidate of their own choosing.
The question now remains, will the GOP force their Chosen One upon the Tea Patriots, will the Tea Partitures force one of their myriad Chosen Ones upon the party as the Official Republican candidate, or will both the GOP and the Tea Party mavericks stampede their party insanely over the nearest adjacent cliff.
The saner regions of the world pray that the latter will be the case.
