Dumb, racist, and conservative…

Add hung like a bee and paste-eating, and you pretty much have the current GOP candidates for the 2012 Goat Rodeo.

Anyway, there is a new study out that shows low IQ, and conservative beliefs are correlated somehow to prejudice. Color me surprised.)

That coincides with my experience. Worked with a racist, low-watt bulb who explained her racism by saying her parents taught her. This was a woman who used “don’t” for “doesn’t,” “frozed” for “frozen,” and one of my favorites, “runned.”

Add the findings of Hodson and Busseri to the previously published Dunning-Kruger Effect and you have drawn a fairly accurate portrait of why conservative governments have such a deleterious effect upon the countries they inhibit.

I know I am late to this discussion. Just wanted to add quote from John Stuart Mill – http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/John_Stuart_Mill

I never meant to say that the Conservatives are generally stupid. I meant to say that stupid people are generally Conservative. I believe that is so obviously and universally admitted a principle that I hardly think any gentleman will deny it.
John Stuart Mill, in a Parliamentary debate with the Conservative MP, John Pakington (May 31, 1866); this seems to have become paraphrased as “Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives.” which was a variant published in Quotations for Our Time (1978), edited by Laurence J. Peter.
