Straight-up News, with a twist

(700 Club) Crazy uncle Pat tells us that The Kenyan Usurper is a secret socialist, out to destroy capitalism.

It’s all about Benghazi and Susan Rice today as the Three Amigos Minus One get their wish and yet lose their talking point, and the male version of noted conspiracy theorist Michele Bachmann auditions for the third amigo:

  • Grandpa Walnuts reacts to Susan Rice withdrawing her name from consideration to be the Secretary of State:

Senator McCain thanks Ambassador Rice for her service to the country and wishes her well. He will continue to seek all of the facts surrounding the attack on or consulate in Benghazi that killed four brave Americans.”

Very gracious considering he was the one who lead the charge to drive a woman of color out of appointed office. (TPM)

  • Senatorette Miss Lindsey Graham tweets her reaction to Susan Rice withdrawing her name for consideration to be Secretary of State:

    I respect Ambassador Rice’s decision.

Which he then mysteriously follows up with:

President Obama has many talented people to choose from to serve as our next Secretary of State.

    (TPM)

  • Steve King, the craziest man in congress® (and that’s an accomplishment) tells us that Benghazi is ten times worse than Iran-Contra and Watergate combined, and that he doesn’t even know what happened. How can that be, you ask? The voices, the voices tell him things:

“I believe that it’s a lot bigger than Watergate, and if you link Watergate and Iran-Contra together and multiply it times maybe 10 or so, you’re going to get in the zone where Benghazi is. I don’t think the public has any idea, and I tell you, I don’t either, of the chronology of the events — what took place, and who was where doing what and why.”

Can Allen West and Steve King get together. I wanna watch the formation of the rift in space and time.

  2. Skinny Dennis:

No doubt the preznint has binders full of women looking for a position.

  3. fitley:

Keep talking about Benghazi, never forget, never forget, because we don’t want voters to forget who the crazy assholes are.

  4. Bruce388:

Careful what you wish for, Kiwi. We’re too close to the Mayan date of destruction to screw around.

  5. barbara fredrickson:

I believe that the Repubs WANTED Rice gone, so Kerry is nominated. Then there is a chance for a repub to get appointed to his vacant seat. Now why isn’t THIS being investigated????

  6. Tengrain:

    Barbara -

I thought of the same thing too, and discovered for a while that Massachusetts did not allow the governor to appoint interim Senators. Interestingly enough, it was enacted to prevent Mitt Romney from doing that if Ted Kennedy died on his watch, and it survived Mitt’s veto. That said, the law has been reversed and Devall Patrick (D) can appoint someone should there be a vacancy.

Crazy Pat is wrong, worst luck, but speaking as a socialist living in a socialist country, let me assure you that there is nothing quite so corrosive to the well-being of the average citizen as run-amok capitalism.

And, no doubt, to Steve King, burglary in aid of perverting a democratic election – such as the case of the Watergate break-in – comes under the heading of public service.
