- America’s favorite deadbeat dad, the recently deposed congressman Joe Walsh, is considering parlaying his losing teabaggery into a run for the Senate against Dick Durbin. When asked why and who is backing him:
“Asked who was urging him on, Walsh responded: “The best kind of people in the world — real people, activists, conservatives and every day Republicans all over the state.”

- Famous volcano scholar and boy exorcist Bobby “Bubba” Jindal is going to get the bends, he’s changing so fast. Anyway, he’s now saying in the pages of the Wall Street Journal that contraception should be sold over the counter to put “purchasing power back in the hands of consumers” and take the issue out of politics:
“As a conservative Republican, I believe that we have been stupid to let the Democrats demagogue the contraceptives issue and pretend, during debates about health-care insurance, that Republicans are somehow against birth control. It’s a disingenuous political argument they make.”
Yes, ladies, welcome the warm embrace of the party who brought you Tod Akin and Cardinal Frothy Santorum; they are at your cervix. (TPM)
- Noted flat-earther Jim DeMint reminds us that it is likely that alleged adulterer and fellow Xristian Xrazie Nikki Haley will announce his successor as he toddles off to the Koch Brothers’ funded think tank, The Heritage Foundation.
