Lack of focus
Ideas and Metaphors from Wingnuttia are all over the map:
- Krauthammer said that Hurricane Sandy Relief would be a pork-rape of the treasury.
- Rep. Matt Salmon (R-AZ) says that it is time for a government shut-down.
- Chinless Mitch says that the President Carebear should gut SS and Medicare to appease the Republicans. Not that he should agree to it, but that he should do it.
- Binyamin Netanyahu* is now talking about building a fence along Israel’s border. (to keep the Mexicans out? what?)
*OK, technically Netanyahu is not a Republican, but…

The Israelis were never too concerned about their border with Syria when Assad was actually in control because the Israelis had kicked his ass often enough so that Assad knew better than to create trouble (he did urge a mass border crossing once early last year or at the end of 2011, and that is what convinced the Israelis that their existing border fence required a serious upgrade). The Israelis now look over their border and see Assad’s forces vacating their positions, and those forces are being replaced by Islamist fighters from a group on the US terrorist watchlist (armed with weapons provided by the Qataris, Saudis and Turks, as well as “heavy” weapons smuggled in from Libya); a group that has stated that they will turn their attention to Israel once they have finished with Assad, so the concern of the Israelis seems reasonable.
I’m glad Mitch is so freewheeling with my- and many others- money, paid into social security on good faith that we would get it back.
Thanks Mitch. Get fucked.
… always time for a government shutdown, according to Rethugs. Yes, government is terrible.
Would you hire a mechanic that claimed cars can’t be fixed, and everything always goes wrong with them, and cars are stupid–we should go back to the horse & buggy–and he wants you to believe that, too? And yet he insists you always bring your car to him for him to ‘work’ on?
Frankly buggies were socialanist taker transport.
Government shutdown? Ok, start by firing all the Republicans, elected or appointed. That’ll free up some revenue…
