    You have to be kidding me! The smaller puppy gets away with stuff when she’s competing against larger pups?

    There was a story on the web a few days ago, when the puppy bowl was being filmed, that a smaller pup was seriously injured when two larger pups accidently ran into it. The article said the vets weren’t sure if the pup would survive, or if it did, what kind of life it would have.

    I can’t believe they actually made a promo exploiting a sad tragic accident. Shame.

    Okay, I just went online to see if I could get an update. Apparently the story first appeared at The Onion. I was had, but so was the news oulets who ran it without verification or at least mentioning the source.

    Glas it wasn’t true.

    Mock, Paper, Scissors is practically my favorite site, just want to say that every time I open it on my ipad I get the audio of the Puppy Bowl ad and have to scroll way down to pause it (life is really hard!). And thanks for the Palate Cleansers.

    Thanks for the kind words.

    I just double-checked my original double-check and auto-play is set to no; it doesn’t start in any of the browsers I use (Safari, Firefox, Chrome; there is no IE for the Mac, so I cannot test that). I honestly don’t think that it is on the server end or others would have mentioned it by now.

    The good news is that it has scrolled off the front page, so arriving at MPS now should not start it up for you no matter what.
