All those colleges, and she's still an idiot. Maybe she should have spent less time blowing the basketball team and more in the classroom.

While rational people seem unable to find content in Mooselini’s word salads, it appears that her supporters do. I feel this may be because we are rating both Grifter Sarah and her followers too highly. Perhaps they don’t actually understand thoughts which are complicated enough to require whole sentences, but rather, pick out comforting words and phrases, which they do understand, and respond to them.

Thus Palin’s word salad as received by a supporter:

“step out in faith - comfort zone - broaden our reach - believers - American exceptionalism - broadening our audience - taking my own advice - opportunities to share - beauty of freedom - defending our republic - restoring - exceptional nation - preach to the choir - message of liberty - larger audience.”

To judge how likely this theory is, try this experiment. Get your dogs attention and speak the following sentence in a clear, pleasant voice:

“[Dog’s name] has not been a good boy, so I won’t give you your din-din, instead I will take you for a nice long walk to the zoo, as though you were a good little doggie and feed you to the lion.”
