News with a twist
Rev. Fishfillet certainly has thought a lot about what goes on in the tents at BSA camp outs.
- Predictions! - Notable Xristian Xrazie with a microphone Kevin Swanson of Generations Radio says that by 2022, home-schooled children will be given to NAMBLA, and that Xristian Xrazies will be burned at the stake. I’m not so keen on the first part, but I’m buying marshmallows for everyone for the second part. Bring your own pointy stick! (Right Wing Watch)
- Hacked! - Both the NYTimes and the Wall St. Journal claim to be hacked from China (and we thought that they were hacked from David Brooks and Peggington Noonington) (TPM)
- Fired! - An Applebee’s waitress–who got stiffed by a preacher’s party of 20 (allegedly)–was fired after posting online the receipt and the snide comment (“I give God 10% Why do you get 18”) from Pastor Alois Bell of the St. Louis-based Truth in the Word Deliverance Ministries. After the receipt went viral, Bell lodged a complaint with the restaurant, demanding everyone involved to be fired. And now Bell has apologized, “My heart is really broken,” she said. “I’ve brought embarrassment to my church and ministry.” Indeed you have, lady. And for $6 and some change. (Truth Dig)

All I have to say is that Pastor Bell had better not think of dining out ever again.
Funny thing about that 10% to god- if she’s the pastor, she’s pocketing the tithe. Nice how that grift works out. I think I’m going to form a religion- “Church of Christ, Hedonist”.
Yeah, but when has God ever brought an order of riblets, apple pie and a cup of coffee right to your table, Pastor Bell?
I agree with BBB; tithing your church-provided salary allows a level of fund commingling undreampt of by non-clergy! “My money is in here someplace.”
“Truth In The World Deliverance Ministries” — The congregation doth protest too much, I think.
