(I’m discovering that there are some pretty amazing YouTube vids of the GOP just grasping at straws as they watch the ship go down. What they might not figure out for a while, of course, is that these documentary vids will come back to bite them as HCR becomes another success.)

The republicans are worried that a real health care reform bill with a robust public option will be so popular that voters will continue to desert the GOP. Fortunately for them, the democrats are incapable of picking up the ball and running with it. In the end there will be a so-so bill with some good stuff in it, but nothing like what is needed now. Both parties (or as Gore Vidal noted, two wings of the same party) aren’t worth a good goddamn.
