There really is no end to the length in which Traitor Joe will go to please his own vanity, and of course, do the bidding of his owners and paymasters. Today, Traitor Joe decides the lie to tell is that no one promised the public option during the campaign, and this is why he must filibuster against it.
This is a kindof 11th hour addition to a debate that’s gone on for decades. Nobody’s ever talked about a public option before. Not even in the presidential campaign last year.

So now that the ante is up, what does Traitor Joe say next?
Edwards probably had it more than anybody else. But Clinton, Obama, McCain–I don’t see it. Anyway, I’m opposed to it.
So speaketh the Lord, or at least so speaketh the man who thinketh that he be the Lord.
Lieberman will say anything to get his way, and hop into bed with anyone who will finance his agenda.

I’ve heard this “But, but it wasn’t in the campaign promises” bit from others, & not just about health care.
Interesting double standard. Suddenly, not only must we hold politicians to their “promises,” but if something comes along that wasn’t mentioned during the campaign, apparently the winner can’t do anything about it? I suppose on that basis, we shouldn’t have let Bush invade places, because he didn’t mention invasions & occupations in 1999 & 2000.
